The 97th anual Durham Parade and Picnic was held May 10th 2014 and was a
great success. The Durham American Legion Post 673 and Sons of the
American Legion Squadron 673 did a combined Color Guard, followed
closely by NRG members and their vehicles. Rick Farley drove his 1987 AM
general 5 ton and Sean Farley entered his 1945 Willys Jeep & 1943
Willys trailer. Other NRG members present were Anthony Borders and Chris
Eheler. A small display was done at the picnic and the Willys jeep was a
big attraction for many children and adults. The Durham American Legion
brought in almost 2000 dollars with their hamburger/beer booth. All
proceeds help local veterans and support the durham community. Thank you
to all who supported our event and hope to see you all at our next
year!
