Dad was bummed out because parade was canceled.
Dad was
bummed that the parade had to be cancelled for safety reasons, but we
had our own … three generations! So goes the thinking at the
Farley house. Leading the convoy on a fine spring day was Sean
Farley, driving the 1945 Willy’s jeep, with daughter Rachel as his
co-pilot. Next in line was Megan Farley driving the 1985 HMMWV,
with mom Rian in the seat next to her. Finally, driving the 1987
5-ton was Rick Farley with grandson Nate, in a carseat so he could see
out the window bringing up the rear.
Facebook comments made note of the
noise of the vehicle horns, the waving arms from inside the vehicles,
and Durham folks generally seeing the event happen.
