A 6th Grade histrory student's outlook on WWII
I teach 6th grade history, and was pleased to find some excellent World War II information on your links page.
I thought you might find it interesting to hear that I recently assigned a project where my students were able
to pick a theme in American history and present a report based on their findings, although it was really about
getting the kids comfortable with researching online and using the computer lab.
However, one of my students actually chose World War II for his project and used an excellent article called,
"The Cars, Tanks and Airplanes of WWII". Alex really impressed me with how seriously he took the assignment,
and I could see the interest spark while he was presenting. I've included the article below, if you'd like to review.
I'd like to do something encouraging for this student, in particular. He has struggled a bit in my class this
year and I've found that our small actions, as educators, sometimes have the power to impact our student's
views of themselves. So I wondered if you would you consider including Alex's resource here?

him that he's also capable of helping others to learn through his hard work.
Thank you very much for your time - I'm looking forward to hearing what you think about the suggestion.
